Pan Fried Oyster Mushrooms

Try this recipe with any type of oyster mushrooms.

It’s perfect way to prepare your mushrooms to add them to another recipe like pasta or put inside an omelette, or atop any meat entree (or as a substitute!). The meaty texture of oyster mushrooms will absorb the flavors you add to the pan and give a nice umami to any dish.

  • oyster mushrooms

  • butter

  • garlic

  • salt + pepper

  • spices

Tear oyster mushrooms into small/medium bite sized pieces.

Place oyster mushrooms in a single layer on the pan.

Let the water cook out of the mushrooms; you’ll hear them pop and the water dehydrates. When the mushrooms start to stick to the pan, add your butter (or oil).

Add your additional ingredients: garlic, s+p, and any spices that you may add to your main dish.

Cook until golden and then flip and reduce head to medium-low.

Remove from heat and eat immediately.
